Marching along
Parade watchers look on as the Georgetown 756 Wild Goose Squadron Air Cadet Band plays on at Streetsville's Annual Bread and Honey Festival Saturday, June 3. The performance follows the band's fourth place finish (in their very first band competition) and WOI Northmore's Best Drill Without Arms Team Captain Award in the 2006 Central Ontario Region Band & Drill Competition last month. After the upcoming Annual Review and Change of Command June 11 and 12, the cadets will stand down for the summer. The 756 Annual Inspection will be held June 1, 1:45 p.m. at Georgetown Memorial Arena, 42 Mill St. Georgetown. The public is invited to see dynamic displays by the drill team with and without arms, a choreographed band performance and displays of squadron activities in the past year. Admission is free. For more information on the squadron, contact the squadron at 905-877-3241.
