Greenwell falters at men's amateur
Robbie Greenwell of Georgetown led after Tuesday's opening round of the Golf Association of Ontario Men's Amateur Championships at the Oshawa Golf & Curling Club, then slipped to sixth with a three-over-par 74 yesterday after 54 holes of play. The sophomore University of Memphis student was 10 strokes back of leader Andrew Parr of London heading into today's final round. Another North Halton Golf ROBBIE & Country Club member, 17GREENWELL year-old Ryan Putnam, started with a pair of 75s but soared to an 81 Thursday to fall well off the lead. Greenwell's varsity golf teammate at Memphis, Georgetown's Gavin Aldridge, didn't make the 36hole cut after rounds of 77 and 78.
