Chair's tourney nets $50,000

Major sponsors assembled with Regional Chair Joyce Savoline recently as she announced the proceeds of $50,000 from her annual golf tournament at Blue Springs Golf Course, which will be in aid of Halton Region Employees United Way Fund. Sponsors included, from left, Frank Zechner, Greater Toronto Sewer & Watermain, Jim Halliday, EarthTech Canada, Phil Shepherd, Norseman Plastics, Gary Gregoris, Mattamy Homes, Phil Sidhwa, American Water Services Canada, Jim D'Orazio, D'Orazio Infrastructure Group, Bill Cooper, Cooper Construction, Joyce Savoline, Regional Chairman, Andrea Bourrie, Dufferin Aggregates, Stuart Leitch, MacViro Consultants, Martin Gravel, MacViro Consultants and Vic Lesnicki, Halton Recycling. The tournament marked Savoliine's final one as chair of Halton Region as she will not run in the November municipal election.
