Georgetown Lions president Jim Wilson (left) and treasurer Doug Weldon (right) recently accepted a certificate from Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Dick Licata Pool. The pool was opened in 1956 after the Georgetown Lions Cub undertook a huge fundraising project to make it possible.
