Age: Occupation: Officiating consultant to the ECHL; officiating supervisor in the Ontario Hockey Association; retired from the National Hockey League (Director of officiating). Political experience: Six years (2000-2006) Ward 2 councillor. Message to voters: I have lived in the rural environment for more than 30 years. This allows me to be "hands on" to the rural issues presented. This may be as a result of development pressures to expand the urban boundary (an issue I oppose) or administration of the government Greenbelt or Places to Grow documents. Rural Halton Hills is made up of hamlets, villages, residents, entrepreneurs and farmers. All bring a unique concern to the governance of rural road maintenance, transportation, truck traffic and police coverage. The Hornby/401/407 prestige industrial gateway must be governed in an appropriate manner. My experience on a variety of town/rural committees has, and will, enable me to be the best candidate for Ward 2.
