A couple of local teams won their respective divisions at the recent Georgetown Hockey Heritage Council's 22nd-annual Oldtimers' Hockey Tournament involving 36 teams held over four days at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex.

Following are the results of the championship games for each of the seven divisions:

Over 35 C

Al Menzies' second-period goal held up as the winner as Mandel's Maniacs edged Honeywell 1-0 in the final. Frank Tyler earned the shutout, with Doug Butler and Rich Miaskowski collecting assists.

Over 45 B

Scott Malcom scored twice, including the winner late in the second period, and the Georgetown Hockey Heritage Council squad hung on for a 4-3 triumph over the Norval Raiders. Rick Walker and Steve Bronizewski added single markers for GHHC, with Dick Popiel, Kevin Brown and Paul Allison replying for the Raiders.

Over 35 EF

West Mall Fossils 1, Oakville Old Pistons 0

Over 45 D

Due to a problem with the ice-resurfacing machine, the championship game had to be cancelled. The Erin Old Masters claimed a coin-toss victory over the Toronto Thursday Thunder.

Over 50 B

Tottenham Pokey Checkers 4, Michigan Sting 1

Over 50 D

Michigan Sting Raes 4, Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen 3

Over 55

London Greys 4, Orangeville Dream Team 0

Goalie Rick Tomkinson of Georgetown's Sports Unlimited Beavers blocked this breakaway attempt by a Tottenham Pokey Checker player during an Over 50 B Division contest in last weekend's Georgetown Hockey Heritage Council Oldtimers' Tournament. The Pokey Checkers went on to capture the championship in the division.
