Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Melissa Coffey and Shaun Harkley. Coffey, a Grade 11 student and power hitter for the senior girls' volleyball Jaguars, turned in an MVP performance in a 2-0 sweep of Acton last week. Harkley chipped in a pair of goals at the recent Bur-Bear tournament and has been a big reason why CtK's varsity hockey team heads into the playoffs in second place with a 9-3-1 mark in its inaugural season. Acton District High School Athletes of the Week are Missy Rowley and Adam Grove. Rowley displayed her excellent passing and attacking skills at Bearcat senior girls' volleyball tournaments at Niagara College and OakvilleTrafalgar, helping Acton post a 7-3 regular season record. Grove registered the double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Acton 6-4 senior hoops' squad in a recent victory over Milton's E.C. Drury. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Jessica Stuart and Justin Bravo. Both are members of the Rebel Swim Team, and were chosen for their strong showing at the Brock University meet. Stuart came home with two golds (50 fly and 100 IM) and a silver in the 4X50 medley relay. Bravo won two golds- one for the freestyle relay and another for the 50 metre breast stroke. He also broke the GHAC record time.
