Town furniture deal struck

The Town of Halton Hills will spend about $800,000 on furniture and office supply purchases in the next five years. Council approved two purchasing reports at a recent meeting. The Town has agreed to a three-year contract for office supplies with Basic Office Products. The three-year deal with options for two additional years amounts to $513,000. This estimate is based on previous years' usage-- approximately $100,000 per year. The Town will also sign a similar deal with Basic Office Products for office furniture, amounting to $315,000.
