Ford promoted to District Chief

Halton Hills Fire Protection and Prevention Services Captain Dave Ford has been promoted to the position of District Chief in the District One (Acton) station. Ford, a life-long Halton Hills resident, has been an active part-time member of the fire service since Feb. 1981. He was promoted to Captain in 1989, and his full-time career with the fire department began in 1984 when he was hired as fire prevention officer. Ford's promotion fills the vacancy left by Brent Marshall who has since been appointed the municipality's fire chief. "Dave has demonstrated sound judgment, ingenuity and due diligence in the execution of the duties assigned to him and will accept this new challenge with the same dedication," said Chief of Operations John Martin.
