After all. the three employed musi cians had to take a couple of weeks from their day jobs for the overseas gig, "though we do hope to make this our job," Bagley stresses. Del Puerto is the only unemployed member of this twenty-som ething band, and he is an accountant who is returning to university in the fall to complete his degree. He has also been a musician for years, originally playing trumpet but moving onto guitar about five years ago. And it was his love for music and composing that hooked him up with Bagley. (Florjancic and bass guitar player Jol Hess complete the group.) "He (Bagley) showed me some lyrics he had written, and I left the room ...to get my guitar. And I started putting the melody to the lyrics," del Puerto recalls, noting that that particu lar song is now titled Dreams and is the seventh track on their first CD.
