Burrt was a Professional Engineer (University of Toronto), a math and science professor at Sheridan College, and an Oakville resident for over 30 years before retiring to his cottage in Haliburton County. In retirement, Burrt enjoyed being the organist at St. Peter's Anglican Church on Maple Lake in Haliburton and spending time with his family and friends on the shores of Lake Kushog. Burrt is survived by his wife Pat (nee. McConnell); his children - Jeff (Monica), Wendy and Amy; his sister Beverly Quinn and family in Australia; and his grandchildren- Katie, Heather, Jake, Rowan, Tenley and Duncan- who will remember `Pop' fondly.
