www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, November 26, 2015 | 24 Rejuvenating and trying to avoid the shopping coma That's A Life nd so for one welcome restorative weekend we traded our country digs and the unrushed rustic life for a cool crib in a recently renovated hotel in downtown Toronto and for the hustle and bustle that is an inherent part of urban existence. Don't get me wrong: we love our country lives. But sometimes we pine for outlandish things like... activity. And people. And noise. Sometimes, we think back to when we lived in Toronto and we experience ephemeral, peculiar cravings for the ceaseless Andy Juniper Guest Contributor clamour of construction, or cars -- the beeping, bleeping horns of the impatient and the outraged sounding on every street. Did I mention we pine for people? Recently, I rejoined the ranks of the insomniacs, people for whom solid sleep is but a dream. It is why I was out on foot in the early morning hours on a Saturday in The Big Smoke, searching for coffee -- strong, dark and bold. I was struck by how many people were already out at such an early hour, shadowy gures intermittently illuminated by streetlights. People off to work. A women determinedly teetering down the middle of the street, nearly busting ankles atop towering Friday night heels. I found an open café and parked myself at a table near the back, warming up with the potent coffee. Two men sat nearby, talking intensely for a minute before taking out identical pocket novels. Taking turns, they read to each other. As a writer, the sight and sounds of that nearly made me weep. Of course, no excursion from country to city is complete without some ne dining. Oh, and also some shopping. see Opting on p.28 So Your Oakville Home Didn't Sell the First Time Oakville - If your home has just come off the market and hasn't sold, don't be discouraged. The reason your home did not sell may have nothing to do with your home or the market. In reality, your home may have been one of the more desirable properties for sale. So Why Didn't Your Home Sell? Last year many of the homes listed for sale never sold at all, and many sellers found that there was a tremendous amount a homeowner needed to be educated on to sell their home for top dollar in the shortest time period. Don't risk making the wrong choices and losing both time and money on your investment. Before you hire a realtor, know the right questions to ask to save you time and money.
