Crime Stoppers of Halton and the National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco (NCACT) launched a joint campaign Monday in Oakville. It's aimed at raising awareness of how illegal cigarettes are being used to fund criminal activity across southern Ontario. "Contraband tobacco products, mainly cigarettes, are not manufactured in accredited facilities nor do they pay excise, income or any other taxes. Access to illegal cigarettes is fuelling youth smoking. Contraband tobacco also funds organized crime," said Crime Stoppers of Halton Chair Norm Bellefontaine. "This is not a victimless crime as many think. We are all affected from the loss of tax revenues, the increase in health risks to our youths and crime in our neighbourhoods. Crime Stoppers fully supports the efforts of the coalition to end contraband tobacco availability and encourages law-abiding citizens to provide anonymous tips related to manufacture, storage, sale and usage of contraband tobacco." see Halton on p.3 SA UNDERS , SAXTON & WINTER SAUNDERS * * 1259 Lawrence Cres - $ 4,288,000 1310 Lakeshore Rd E - $ 3,248,000 10 Maple Grove Dr #10 - $ 2,999,000 54 Birch Hill Lane - $ 2,898,000 4141 Derry Rd W - $ 2,299,000 NEW LISTING ** 99 Woodhaven Pk Dr - $ 1,498,000 1096 Cedar Grove Blvd $1,449,000 Prime Opportunity Olde Oakville - $2,295,000 sswteam.ca | t 905.845.1223 sswteam @johnstonanddaniel.com *Sales Representatives **Broker JOHNSTON & DANIEL DIVISION Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., Brokerage 136 Church Street, Suite 1B - Oakville, ON Not intended to solicit buyers or sellers currently under contract with another brokerage.
