The young man is believed to be William Nelson Hill, the only son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles W. Hill of Monroe, Mich. "Willie" was born 1883 in Acton, Ontario and moved with his parents in 1886 to Monroe. He died in 1904 of typhoid fever at the age of twenty. Charles W. Hill, his father and creator of the photo, was an Alderman and Photo Artist in Monroe, Michigan.
