www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, November 19, 2015 | 50 Cavaliers, Rams split their two previous meetings continued from p.49 the 8-3 Cavaliers 13-25, 25-20, 2513, 25-17 to claim the Halton title. The Rams were never really in the rst set, scoring the rst point but allowing the next eight in a lopsided effort by the Burlington team. "We've had a couple of those (bad starts) this year," said Rams captain Alex Young, an outside left hitter in his fth year of high school. "Our coach told us we had to keep positive." The Rams adjusted and started to take over the game in the second set, much to the chagrin of King's Christian head coach Pawelczyk. "Our boys came out really emotional in the rst set," said Pawelczyk, in his second year coaching the team. "But through sets two, three and four, (Robinson) just overwhelmed us." King's Christian beat the Rams 2-1 during the regular season, but Robinson evened the slate with a win over the Cavaliers in tournament play. "We beat them and they took us down so we knew today was going to be a good match," added Pawelczyk, whose teams have made the Halton nal the past two years. "Regardless of the results, it's a great season for the boys. "Our captain Jeff Lowes is a true leader and our two left sides Jayden Grewal and Jaiman Dhindsa both played fantastic," Pawelczyk said. -- Kevin Nagel (for a longer version of this story, visit bit.ly/1MPH14A) RAISE YOUR HAND FOR ONTARIO COMMUNITIES As Canada's oil and natural gas industry we will never stop working to protect our communities and our environment.
