In February of 2009 our dear friend Caroline Seads was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with her second child. She was told that they were inducing her because she would need to start treatment the following week. That year she underwent chemo and radiation and a double bi-lateral mastectomy, all at the age of 25. Peteypalooza, named for Pete Hargrave, started in July of 2009. In March 2013 we held our first public event at the Acton Legion. It was a huge success and we raised $10,000 for local cancer initiatives. At our second annual event in March 2014, we raised $10,324 for C.A.S.h.h. To date we have raised over $22,000 for cancer. On February 21, 2012, Caroline lost her battle with Cancer at the age of 28, leaving behind her boys, Dawson (aged 5) and Ryder (aged 3). During her last days, Caroline set up a trust for her boys and asked us to keep it in the minds of those looking to help. Donations can be made at any time to The WilsonSeads Trust at CIBC bank in Ac-ton Ontario. This year, we are once again donating all the proceeds from Peteypalooza 2015 to C.A.S.h.h. (Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills - www.cancerassistance.org. This non-profit organization relies on the support of events like ours, as they do not receive government funding. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to this great charity, you can do so online or come out and support our event. If you would like to donate a prize for our raffle table or food for the buffet table please contact us at Pete's Auto Paint 519-856-9356 or email us at peteypalooza1@gmail.com We hope to see you on April 11 and we thank you in advance for your support.
