He enjoyed all sports, particularly, football and softball in his youth. He also became an excellent rifle marksman, and won the Dominion Marksmanship Cup, while at university. Neil became very active in the Oakville Curling Club, and took up both golf and skiing. Neil was a Professional Engineer who spent most of his career at Atomic Energy of Canada, including Manager of Laboratory Operations, for many years. He held a United States Patent for an advancement in welding that was used in nuclear reactors. Neil was an avid traveler, particularly after he retired, and visited many parts of the globe. Funeral Service will be held at Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville, on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to the Service.
