The exhibit will be on display at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre's Main Gallery until Sunday, Feb. 21. Tomorrow (Saturday), the OCPA's Paradiso Dance and Drama Series presents Torontobased a cappella group Eh440 in concert. Tickets for the show package include a three course meal at Paradiso Restaurant, 125 Lakeshore Rd. E., at 6 p.m., followed by the show at the OCPA's Studio Theatre, 130 Navy St., at 8:30 p.m. A mix of five different voices and backgrounds Eh440 is a mix of five people from five different backgrounds and musical genres. Joe Oliva is a low bass singer, while Luke Stapleton is the group's urban beatboxer. Janet Turner brings some country and pop styles to Eh440 and Stacey Kay adds her soul/ pop voice to the group. Rounding things out is member Mike Celia, who is "more of a musical chameleon, citing blues, folk and `anything with a good groove' as his influences," stated a media release. "Using just their voices, (Eh440) has wowed audiences across the U.S. and Canada," the release noted. "Together they form an unforgettable combination of crazy beatboxing, sassy rapping, killer harmonies, and fresh, urban, R&Binfluenced compositions." Eh440 was also featured on Dragon's Den where the group won a deal with two of the "dragons." Tickets for the dinner and show cost $150 per couple -- the price does not include taxes, alcohol or gratuities -- and can be purchased by calling the OCPA box office at 905-815-2021.
