- Older sister Ethel is sitting on the steps, Luena is standing on the right, at the Conover family farmhouse. Several generations of Conovers farmed and lived here.
This photograph, taken by family, was turned into a postcard. It was not used as a postcard so the verso has not been included in this record.
Ethel married Wilbert Henry Bigger (aka Biggar) on February 26, 1916 at her parents house on Dundas Street.
The family home was 1499 Dundas Street East on part of Lot 6 Concession 1 NDS. - Notes

- Parents of Ethel and Luena were William Russell (called Russell) Conover b. December 15, 1851 in Trafalgar Township. He died in 1940. He married Charlotte McGowan on January 13, 1886 in Trafalgar Township. Charlotte McGowan, b.August 1, 1859 in Trafalgar Township, d. January 15, 1927 in Trafalgar. Their children: Charles Wilmer Conover, b.February 13, 1891. Lottie Luena Conover was born September 4,1894 in Trafalgar Township. Luena is buried with her parents in the Erindale Cosmopolitan Cemetery at St. Peter's Anglican church, northeast corner of Mississaga Road and Dundas, Erindale, Mississauga. Mary Ethel Conover, b.1888 d.1949 on February 26, 1916. Her husband was Wilbert Henry, b.May 6, 1887 d.June 13, 1960. Wilbert and Mary Ethel's children were Harold C., 1917-2004, Clare O. Biggar, 1937-1945, Lois, 1919-1997, Russell and (twins) Martha and Kathryn born about 1927. Harold's wife's name is Isabel. Lois married Thomas Tyson, Clare died in an auto accident, Martha married Jack Patterson, Kathryn married John Allen.
