P.13, as amended on February 16, 2016. The purpose and effect of the proposed amendment to the Town of Oakville Zoning By-law 2014-014 is to incorporate a number of appeal-related amendments across multiple zones to ensure consistency, update regulations based on other legislative changes, update regulations based on monitoring of the by-law since its passing, and additionally clarify the interpretation of a number of existing regulations. The proposed amendment includes: · Revisions to the definition of front lot line, · Revisions to the definition of private home daycare, · Revisions to the general provision regarding accessory dwellings and area measurement (4.1), · Revisions to the general provision regarding allowable projections including column titles, outdoor pool decks, access stairs, balconies, and uncovered platforms (4.3), · Additions to the general provision regarding outside display and sales (4.17), · Revisions to the parking provision regarding parking space dimensions and obstructions [5.2.3(d)], · Adding private schools as a permitted use in the Neighbourhood Commercial (C1) Zone (9.2), · Changing the term "dry cleaning/laundry" to "dry cleaning depot" and "dry cleaning/laundry establishment" in the commercial zones (9.2), · Adding art gallery as a permitted use in the Office Employment (E1) and Business Employment (E2) Zones, and · Limiting the permission for heavy vehicle parking area in employment zones to be an accessory use (10.2). Zoning By-law 2014-014, as amended, applies to all lands south of Dundas Street and north of Highway 407. All lands subject to Zoning By-law 2014-014, as amended, are affected by the proposed amendments to the text of the By-law.
