Memorial service to be held by Khan family at Oakville Town Hall Oakville Town Hall will host a memorial to be held by the family of the late Max Khan on Tuesday, March 29 -- one year to the date of the former Ward 6 Town councillor's death. Khan died suddenly at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) on March 29, 2015. The memorial, which is being hosted by the Khan family, will run from 6:30-8 p.m. in the South Atrium. "The evening will give us all an opportunity to share in the remembrance of our colleague and our former councillor," said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. "We remember his positive strength, his spirit and the dedication he brought to everything he challenged." The program for the evening memorial service will include light refreshments and remarks from Khan's father, Mahmood Khan, who described Max as not just his son, but also his friend.
