The local resident instead was the winner of one of 14 guaranteed prizes of $100,000 in the Feb. 13 draw, which also offered the chance to win a $1 million guaranteed prize and the main jackpot. "I checked my ticket on the self scanner and turned to my wife and said `Look. I won $1,000,'" laughed Melvin, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. "After I had the ticket validated, I was trembling because I had actually won $100,000." Arsenault, a father, grandfather and greatgrandfather, said in a media release he planned to use his winnings to pay off some bills and take a trip. "I'd love to go P .E.I. and visit some of our extended family," he said. The winning ticket was purchased at Food Basics on Kerr Street in Oakville.
