It's offering 16 one-year internship positions for a variety of roles across all departments of the organization of local regional government. Meant to help young people begin their careers, the program provides them with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field, benefit from the mentorship of seasoned professionals and increase their understanding of government. "Our new Internship and Apprenticeship Program supports Halton youths in advancing their careers and helps us engage emerging talent to foster a stronger community for everyone," stated Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr in a media release. Halton Region is an employer of choice that invests in its people and attracts the best in the business. "This program presents a fantastic opportunity for young people to grow and learn by working alongside Regional staff to maintain and enhance the high quality of life in Halton." By introducing young talent to the organization, the Region also hopes to leverage new ideas and approaches in its delivery of high-quality programs and services, the release states. Internship opportunities are currently posted on the Region's website. The positions are intended for individuals with a recognized degree, post-graduate certificate or diploma earned between January 2015 and June 2016. The positions will run from May 2016 to May 2017. His works can be found in galleries throughout Canada, Europe and the U.S. Berens, also a Canadian artist, has a passion for painting natural surroundings and is noted for his ability to capture depth and light through textured dabs of a well-calculated colour palette. A special highlight of the evening will be the auctioning of an Eventov original painting, valued at $800 (framed) that the artist has donated for this event.
