Around 3 p.m., a man entered the Pioneer Gas Station, located at 2451 Lakeshore Rd. W., walked around the counter and approached the employee while brandishing a knife. The individual demanded money and stole a quantity of cash from the register before eeing the area. He was last seen heading north on Bronte Road. The suspect is described as white, 6-foot with a thin build, short brown hair and scruffy facial hair. He wore a dark red, long-sleeved shirt and jeans and put on a white jacket shortly after leaving the gas station. No one was hurt during the incident. Det. Const. Mike Tidball said police do not believe this robbery is connected to a similar crime, which took place at the Domino's Pizza at 2298 Lakeshore Rd. W., Sunday evening. That said, he noted police have not completely ruled that possibility out.
