Cars were lined up over the bridge (where Dorval goes over the Q EW ), waiting to get inside the long-awaited grocery store. "I've been going to The Bam in Burlington for years, I'm so glad you're finally here!" Com m ented one happy customer. Consum ers stood in line waiting for buggies and baskets as crow ds exceeded expectations. Store owner Bob Gillis (top left) welcom ed people at the door and kept them com pany while they w ait ed for other custom ers to finish up. The official cake and ribbon cut ting cerem ony took place Friday evening, and was enjoyed by many. In the bottom left pic ture, D avid G rasing (in the foreground) and Brian Ivany were w orking hard since 4:00 a.m. baking in preparation for the opening day.
