Visit our guestbook at www.koprivataylor.com SETO, Raymond On May 13, 2016, at the age of 73, after an eight year battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Sadly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Dawn. Proud father of Raymond (Victoria), Christopher (Angela) and Carolyn (Ruben). Beloved grandfather of Matthew, Charlotte, Anderson, Lauren, Isabelle, Sophia and Madeleine. Survived by siblings Lucy, George, Russell and Stanley. Born in Toronto on November 9, 1942, Ray viewed life as one great adventure and he lived it to the fullest. He had a love for being out on the water. As an officer in the navy reserves, he sailed the world. As an oarsman, he enjoyed the solitude of an early morning scull. As a canoeist, he relished the post-paddle meal at the St. Lawrence Market. For Ray, sports were a central part of life. In his earlier days, he was an accomplished football player with a reputation as a bruising running back. But most of all, his passions were cycling and rowing. From 1975 to 2009, he owned and operated Just Cameras in Mississauga. As a businessman, he had a strong sense of community. For 20 years, he encouraged customers to participate in an annual "Discover Mississauga" contest, and was so proud of the amazing images of the city captured on that one day. A fixture and friend in the Mississauga community, Ray could always be found at the store, where you could `Say hi to Ray Seto!'. Above all, Ray's greatest joys in life were his family and friends. Ray was so proud of each and every one of their moments and accomplishments and was always there to celebrate - whether with a party, big smile, firm handshake, or warm hug...but always with a picture. Thanks to Rochelyn and Bernadette, Ray was able to remain at home. A special thanks to the ICU and palliative care teams at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. With their care and help, Ray was able to make the journey home. A memorial service will be held at St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church, 1541 Oakhill Drive, Oakville on May 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund, The Scott Mission or Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
