By `better' we mean ­ better development for players, better communication with members, better programming, better value for sponsors ­ overall ­ a better experience for Oakville kids and their families. To that end, we are looking for candidates to fill the 4 volunteer executive positions outlined below. Under each job, there is a brief outline of the deliverables for the role. Vice President, Marketing and Sponsorship The VP, Marketing and Sponsorship will be required to: · Develop and lead all marketing and communications initiatives with the goals of increasing membership, strengthening the brand and improving communications with parents, players and alumni. · Launch social media initiatives. · Lead the club's renewed focus on branding ­ advertising, community involvement, merchandise and apparel. · Lead the club's rebranding initiative. · Develop, implement and drive a `best-in-class' sponsorship program to generate revenue for the club. · Recruit and lead a committee that will assist with the initiatives outlined above. · Identify, recruit and retain the best coaches for our AAA teams. · Create a culture of excellence and enhance the Oakville Ranger's reputation. · Recruit and lead a committee that will assist with the initiatives outlined above. · Facilitate and manage the player draft process for the Minor Atom division · Work in collaboration with all House League Vice Presidents to ensure consistency throughout levels. Vice President, House League (Bantam, Minor Midget, Midget, Juvenile) The VP, House League (Bantam, Minor Midget, Midget, Juvenile) will be required to: · Work in collaboration with the House League Scheduler to establish division specific scheduling · Facilitate and manage the player draft including player protections, division specific roster numbers, etc. · Manage the shortage and surplus of goaltenders for each division and facilitate solutions where necessary. · Appoint division convenors and oversee the recruitment and selection of coaches in collaboration with the House League Coach Selection Committee. · Conduct regular meetings and facilitate the distribution of information amongst the division convenors · Work in collaboration with all House League Vice Presidents to ensure consistency throughout levels. Vice President, House League (Tyke, Novice, Minor Atom) The VP, House League (Tyke, Novice, Minor Atom) will be required to: · Oversee the corporate sponsorship requirements for the Timbits hockey (Tyke), Dodge Caravan Kids (Novice), and AtoMc (Minor Atom) programs · Work in collaboration with the VP, AAA and Player Development to establish skills and fundamentals training for Tyke and Novice aged players · Appoint division convenors and oversee the recruitment and selection of coaches in collaboration with the House League Coach Selection Committee. · Conduct regular meetings and facilitate the distribution of information amongst the division convenors · Coordinate the auto drafting of teams at the Tyke and Novice division Vice President, AAA and Player Development The VP, AAA and Player Development will be required to: · Develop and implement programming that ensures that Tyke 1, 2 and 3 players and Novice rep players receive `best-in-class' skills and fundamentals training. · Develop and implement programming that ensures that our best players don't leave the club.
