Five store locations in Halton, including The Real Canadian Superstore in Georgetown (171 Guelph St.), Oakville's Longo's (3455 Wyecroft Rd. and 469 Cornwall Rd.), FreshCo (2501 Third Line) and Metro in Milton (1050 Kennedy Circle) started carrying beer last December. Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn was at the Longo's on Cornwall Road Saturday to make the announcement that cider would be added to the list of choices at those locations. "We took an important step forward a few months ago when we made beer available in grocery stores," he said. "Now, craft cider is available in grocery stores, right alongside beer. This is not only great news for beer consumers but also for Ontario's emerging craft cider industry ­ local businesses which create jobs and help grow our economy."
