Oakville's annual goose round-up 25 | Thursday, July 14, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com The Town of Oakville Parks staff recently had a goose roundup. The annual occurrence takes place at four to five Oakville waterfront parks in mid-June with geese being relocated to Aylmer Wildlife Sanctuary. Oakville staff were assisted by Mississauga Parks department staffers to corral and round up hundreds of Canada geese. Clockwise, from top left: staffers corral geese at Coronation Park; geese are ushered up onto the beach at Bronte Beach; a boat guides the geese towards the beach; staff continue to corral the Canadian icons at Coronation Park; geese are ushered into a fenced-in area off the beach where they would be led onto a transport trailer. | photos by Graham Paine Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog or www.facebook.com/HaltonPhotog)
