O w ner Sean Chong, w hom spent most o f his adult life in Thailand, made the decision to open Salad T hai w ith his wife, Lemai. "My father and grandfather both had their own business in T hailand, and I w anted to try opening my own business here in Canada." After enjoy ing his wife's fabulous T hai cooking for years, the deci sion was made for him. "H er dishes are so good!" Sean says w ith a smile. "We decided to share authentic dishes from our homeland with everyone here." Salad T hai is com m itted to serving fresh and authentic T hai food, and uses meat, produce and seafood o f the highest quality. W ith a wide variety o f appetizers, soups, salads and main entrees, they also offer special lunch combos. W ith eight to choose from, there's a com bina tion to please anyone's appetite. W hile T hai food is renowned for its lavish use o f spices, Salad T hai is happy to offer (almost) every dish made to order. T hey will take your individual spice preference into consideration. Some curries and soups are made well in advance, leav ing the spice levels unalterable, b ut everyone needs a lit tle spice in their life every now and then! T heir lunch hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and they're open until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday.
