www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Friday, August 12, 2016 | 24 Beauty &Spa Arriving from Jordan in 2008 with husband Evan and her two children, Nina Bato knew that Canada held a promising future for her family. Her husband opened his barbershop City Clippers on Kerr Street and Nina set off to build her skills and train to be stylist. Speaking four languages, Bato's delightful accent and friendly spirit charmed her clients who have remained loyal and supportive. Hardworking, energetic and kind, she has extensive knowledge of colouring techniques and over the years her intensive studies included all aspects of cutting and colouring with the L'Oréal Academy within Canada and the US. Bato has shared her craft and expertise with Oakville residents, having worked at three different salons in the area over the past several years fusing the techniques she's learned in her years of experience to become a sought after stylist. Most recently working in downtown Oakville, she decided that it was time to join her husband and build the family salon business on Kerr Street. "My clients kept asking me to open my own salon and were very keen to support Evan and I," said Bato. "This was the right time to begin this journey. My clients, friends and family have just been so supportive." Bato says that the new salon will stand apart from some others as she does not believe in overcharging her clients, explaining "One of the things that my clients like is that I provide top notch service, expertise colouring and I am not overpriced like many salons can be. Long-time client Liz Heidecker is quick to compliment Bato. "Whenever I see Nina, she makes me feel like I am really being taken care of, and when I describe the style I want, the Stylist joins City Clippers to make it a family affair Evan and Nina Bato of City Clippers in Kerr Village prepare for their grand re-opening Saturday, Aug. 13.
