Entries for Joshua Creek Heritage Art juried exhibition due Aug. 28 The Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is launching its third juried exhibition and looking for artists' entries. The show is exclusive to artists living in Halton and Peel regions and the subject matter is open (excluding nudes). Participants may submit one or two pieces of two-dimensional artwork, such as paintings in any medium, drawings, fibre art, photography or any other wall art. Entry forms must be emailed or delivered by Sunday (Aug. 28) at midnight. Forms are available to download online at http://goo.gl/TTEwPt. The exhibition will run from Sept. 9-Oct. 16 at the 1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E. art centre with an opening reception on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 2-5 p.m. The participating artists will be invited to a private preview party an hour before the opening reception where they will be able to meet the jurors. The show will be juried by Dick Rampen, a multifaceted artist with more than 25 years of teaching as an OCAD professor, and Shirley Erskine, a highly-renowned and respected artist and member of the Joshua Creek Studio. Guests will be able to vote for the Viewer's Choice award at the reception. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. on Sept. 11.
