www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Friday, September 2, 2016 | 10 Coat donations needed for fifth annual drive The Bronte Village Stakeholders is asking residents to help the less fortunate stay warm this winter by participating in the fifth annual Coat Giveaway Event. Organizers note with the lazy days of summer winding down, it's time to start thinking about the cooler days of autumn and the even colder days of winter. "It is also time to think about those who cannot afford proper protection from that cold," organizers said in a media release. Between Sept. 10-17, members of the Bronte Village Stakeholders will be at the Bronte Sobeys parking lot (southeast corner) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., accepting gently-used, clean winter coats and jackets. Residents are asked to check their closets and find those items that either don't fit anymore or they don't want. The Bronte Village Stakeholders said they would take all sizes including coats for children, youths and adults, and will take coats for both men and women. Donations can also be dropped off at the Bronte Fire Station at 2535 Rebecca St., in the box in the front lobby any time. The 2015 coat giveaway saw 450 coats and jackets distributed. This year donated coats will be distributed on Oct. 15. COMPLETE BATHROOM, KITCHEN & LAUNDRY RENOVATIONS The Bronte Village Stakeholders is asking for donations for its fifth annual Coat Giveaway Event from Sept. 1017 at the Bronte Sobeys parking lot, and anytime at the Bronte Fire Station. | Metroland file photo Prom Dress Soccer fundraiser rescheduled We Supply · Custom Vanities · Counter Tops · Tubs · Faucets · Sinks · Toilets · Custom Shower Doors · Tiles And Much More Fully Licensed, Insured & 2 Year Workmanship Warranty 2666 Royal Windsor Drive, Unit 1D, Mississauga (at Winston Churchill) 905-823-2278 Hours: Tuesday to Friday 10 am - 5 pm, Saturday 10 am - 4 pm www.clarksonbathandtile.com Soccer can be quite the tough, athletic game -- even tougher while wearing a prom dress.
