Sixty-one-year-old James Robert Golightly, of White Rock, British Columbia was in court facing 18 counts of various sex-related offences. The suspect was arrested by RCMP officers on Jan. 31 at' the request of Halton Regional Police. The suspect was returned to Oakville on Feb. 2 and was held pend ing a bail hearing held at the Milton courthouse yesterday. According to Det. Sgt. Carol Crowe of the Halton police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit, Halton officers began investigating the suspect back in 1994 in connectioh to the sexual assault of three male victims when the victims came forward with their allegations to police. The sexual offences were alleged to have occurred between 1971 and 1988. All three victims lived in Oakville when the assaults were alleged to have occurred.
