Chocolate Lovers Brunch serves up a Valentine s treat Love chocolate? The VON Halton Chocolate Lovers Brunch will be held on Feb. 12 - just in time for Valentine's Day. The second annual Chocolate Lovers Brunch will be held at the Glen Abbey Golf Club beginning at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds from the Valentine's event will benefit the VON's community charitable services including Alzheimer Services, Volunteer Support services and the People in Crisis program. Last year's sold-out event raised $10,000. This year's Valentine celebration features a gala brunch, a dessert buffet complete with a chocolate fondue fountain sponsored by Purdy's Chocolates, and live entertainment by Elvis tribute artist duo Wayne Zess and two-year-old Chase Funston. Guests can also bid on silent auction items and win raf fle prizes including a Wheelbarrow of Wine valued at over $500. "Charity events such as the Chocolate Lovers Brunch are essential to raising funds to help VON continue to serve the clients and families who need us," said Angela Brewer, Executive Director of VON Halton. "It's amazing how many people I talk to in the commu nity who have been touched by the compassionate care and support of our charitable services.
