Acura Look for Honda's luxury division to showcase its new CSX compact car at the Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) this year. Built in Alliston, Ontario, the CSX replaces the EL in the Acura lineup. With features like drive-by-wire throttle control and a host of luxury and conve nience features, the Canadian-exclusive CSX has the cachet of the Acura brand at a reasonable price. The rest of the family will also be on hand, includ ing the RSX coupe, slightly refreshed TSX, sporty TL and high-tech RL flagship sedan. A STO N M A R TIN V8 VANTAGE Aston Martin A new model from Britain's legendary automaker makes its Canadian debut at the show this year. The V8 Vantage has the style, refinement and attention to detail that define the fabled sports car builder. The smallest coupe in the lineup, the Vantage has hand-finished body panels and an alloy underbody structure. The 4.3-litre V8 engine delivering 380 hp is designed and built by Aston Martin, while the coupe's front mid-engine lay out provides superb balance and agility. features a pumped-up V8 powerplant delivering 420 hp, suitable brake, suspension and steering modifications and an attitude. The engine features direct-injection and can propel the sedan to 100 km/h in under five seconds. Extensive effort has gone into weight reduction, including plenty of aluminum in the chassis and even lightweight sport seats. The quattro allwheel-drive system is also programmed for j a more rear-wheel biased power delivery, ensuring a fun time behind the wheel. Bentley The choice of royalty and movie stars, the Bentley brand carries lots of cachet. The automaker's ultra-luxe sedans and coupes boast cutting edge engineering and gorgeous styling. Audi There's big news at the Audi stand this year with the Canadian debut of a new road rocket. The RS4 C A D ILLA C ESCALADE From the sumptuous Arnage sedan to the sexy Continental GT coupe, there is something to stir your automotive fantasies. If you've ever wanted an up-close look, here's your chance. And don't miss the new Continental Flying Spur, the fastest 4-door in the company's history. BMW Look to BMW to display its redesigned 3 Series sport sedans and wagon. With new shapely styling, available all-wheel-drive and more power under the hood, the 3 will likely attract lots of attention. Also look for the new 5 Series Touring wagon. It has more cargo room than the big X5 SUV, so there's lots of room for gear and passengers. With all-wheel-drive and a sporty 6-speed transmission it also has BMW's performance personality. Of course the rest of the lineup will be' on hand for inspection. formance arm. The chiselled drop-top has a hand-built 4.4-litre supercharged Northstar V8 delivering 443 hp and 414 lb-ft of torque. Other standard features on the $112,995 hard-top roadster include a high-performance, polished stainless steel exhaust, 19-inch aluminum wheels, electronic adaptive cruise control and voice recognition. Also on hand is the revised 2007 Escalade luxury SUV, which promises even more luxury, power and safety features. Chevrolet GM's truck and SUV offensive continues with the 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Sharing the same platform as th&new GMC Yukon, much work went into reduc ing road and wind noise, while improving the ride quality of Chevy's large SUV Be sure to also have a look at the retro-style HHR wagon and the new and improved, Canadian-built Impala sedan, which fea tures a new V8 engine. Also look for the perennial favourite Corvette, always a big draw at the CIAS. Buick Look for Buick to showcase its new full-size sedan this year. The Lucerne replaces the LeSabre and Park Avenue in the lineup and offers new levels of ride, handling and sound dampening. The Lucerne offers the most advanced suspension in Buick's history, while chrome portholes are a nod to the automaker's heritage and denote V6 or V8 powered models. With its long list of features, the Lucerne continues Buick's com mitment of offering advanced technology in premium-level vehicles. Chrysler Take a walk around the Chrysler stand and you'll see the Brampton, Ontario-built 300 in various guis es and the eye-catching Crossfire coupe and con vertibles. Also on display is the freshened PT Cruiser, which has a little more power for turbocharged mod els and restyled exterior sheetmetal. Also look for the brand new Aspen SUV, which could make an appearance at CIAS. A first for Chrysler, the new premium sport-ute has a standard Hemi with the company's fuel saving Multi-Displacement System and three rows of seats.
