Wayne Allison coached the Bruins from 1980 to 1993, winning four Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) championships, two Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) championships, a national silver medal and three regular season OCAA division titles. He compiled an overall record of 332-200, while winning 70 per cent of his OCAA conference games (188-82). Leroy Cassanova played 56 games from 1980-83, averaging of 15 points per game. He was the first Sheridan basketball player to garner CCAA All-Canadian recognition, honoured during a 1982-83 season in which he guided the Bruins to an 18-6 record and their first appearance in the OCAA championship game, averaging 17.6 points per contest. As a player and a coach, he has been a member of all 11 Bruin OCAA championship teams and both national championship teams.
