The cause of the re is still under investigation, but damage was estimated at approximately $1 million. | Screenshot · Twitter @Media371 The Oakville Fire Department says it has been unable to determine the cause of a $1 million re, which occurred at a home on Raspberry Bush Trail early Wednesday morning (Sept. 14). Fire ghters were called to the residence around 12:30 a.m., after receiving a 911 call from a neighbour, who noticed the blaze. Fire Chief Brian Durdin said the rear of the home was engulfed in ames when re crews arrived on the scene. The ames ultimately broke through the roof. Durdin said the re was so large, the responding re ghters could see it from several kilometres away as they approached.
