Gord was born April 21, 1965 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He is survived by his son Michael of Ireland, parents Harold and Agnes Deck of Oakville, and by his brother Allan. At Gord's request, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. HENDRIKS, Henri John Centenarian. Henri is reunited with his true love, Helen (2011). His life was grounded in faith and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Henri approached the world with child-like curiosity, voraciously reading the news and following history. For most of his 60 years of employment, he relished his work as a landscape-gardener. Henri was the third of 16 children. Born in Holland, he emigrated with Helen to Canada in 1950 and lived in Oakville for 65 years. Dad instilled in his children the qualities of working hard, accepting responsibility and finding satisfaction in simple living. Joan was married for over 50 years to the love of her life, the late Bruce Johnson. Although Joans' family and friends are saddened by the suddenness of her death, it is comforting to know that she is finally at peace. Joan was an amazing woman who never gave up her fight to regain her health, in part so that she would dance at her granddaughters' weddings. Joan lived a full life as a loving wife, caring mother, sister, loyal friend, devoted Nana and registered nurse. Joan will be remembered by all who knew her ever present smile, incredible sense of curiosity and her love of fun. A devoted and loving mother to Ian (Arree), Paul (Sam), Martha, Ned (Rachelle) and Leanne (Ron); proudest Nana to Heather, Christianne, Erin, Stephanie and Juliana; she will be greatly missed by her brothers Richard Farley (Marg) and David Farley; while pre deceased by her brother Stewart Farley (Jean); her nieces and nephews; her chosen family of incredible friends; her nursing colleagues and patients she worked with over the years. Joan missed her four-legged buddy and loyal companion Annie. A longtime resident of Oakville, she volunteered her time weekly to the Oakville Hospital. Joan was an avid an bridge player, reader, golfer, Annie walker, mahjong player, traveler, antiquer and sports enthusiast. In her youth, the Oakville Golf Club kindled her infinite love for the game; the Oakville Curling Club was where her love of curling began. Bruce and Joan were avid curlers during their early married years and always enthusiasts of the sport. One of a few longest-standing members, the Oakville Club is where she played racquet sports, bridge and watched her children enjoy all the club had to offer. Joan had a beautiful bright smile she would unleash at the least provocation and a sparkle in her eyes that will always be remembered with much love and never forgotten. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by family and friends. Angelo is survived by his wife Anna of 62 years, sons Mauro (Gabriella) and Joe (Lara), grandchildren Jessica, Andrea, Eric and Savannah, brothers Gerardo and Enrico and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his son, Bruno (2014), and sisters Maria and Benedetta. Angelo was a kind and gentle man, who was seldom stressed, making him a friend to all and the pride of his family. With a little grin, he was known to enjoy the simple things in life - a meal with family and friends, working his garden, and making wine (and enjoying a glass or two). In the early years, he and the family would picnic every weekend to favorite destinations, attending many festivals and visiting relatives throughout the USA. He was blessed with a long, healthy life and could be seen riding his bicycle around town, visiting friends into his `90's along with sitting on the veranda of his home with Anna, watching the world go by. Angelo immigrated to Canada in 1952 from Alvito, Italy, establishing his family in Oakville and working in the construction trade for 35+ years. As part of the early Italian community in Halton, he was known for lending a helping hand to many. Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 5, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Oakview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, October 6, 11:00 a.m. Following Mass, Angelo was laid to rest at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens in Oakville. Kelly was a long time resident of Bronte, a place she cherished all of her life. She was an avid photographer and devoted local historian, a lover of nature and always a free spirit. She is survived by her brother Rodney and sister Janet. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Joan Wolfendale of Oakville. Kelly will be greatly missed by her many friends who will always remember her kind heart and generous soul.
