To date, this important hospital-based program has helped over 600 patients achieve a sounder full night's sleep and is currently expanding from 3 to 5 nights a week to Located in the OTMH Respiratory Therapy Department, the Sleep Laboratory hours of operation are 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. from Monday to Friday. Patients are referred to the Sleep Lab by their family physician or a specialist for the purposes of confirming .or ruling out a sleep disorder. Five Oakville banks have joined forces with 1 students from the Corporate Communications 0 Program at Sheridan College, to raise $40,000 for the purchase of new hospital beds at OTMH. BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Royal Bank, Scotiabank and TD Canada Trust/TD Waterhouse will be accepting donations for the new beds at participating branches between April 10th and April 29th, 2006. The fundraising campaign culminates on Sunday, April 30, 2006, when the Banks will participate in a bed race along Lakeshore Road in Oakville. The Banks will race their beds from Navy Street to George Street, ending at Town Square. There will be a raffle and refreshments, in addition to an awards ceremony at the Town Square.
