In Oakville, two events were hosted last weekend. The Islamic New Year was celebrated Saturday afternoon as the World Islamic Mission hosted a family-friendly event at Oakville Town Hall with several local politicians, as well as the Consulate General of Pakistan, all delivering remarks. Meanwhile, the sixth annual Ladies Cultural Night was held Saturday evening at the OE Banquet Hall & Conference Centre.
