Tele-Touch is a telephone reassurance service where specially-trained volunteers provide regular telephone calls to seniors and individuals with dis abilities. Its clients typically include those who live alone. They are put on a daily or prearranged sched ule to receive friendly telephone conversation, security and reassurance. `Tele-Touch complements our existing volun teer visiting services, which reach out to sociallyisolated seniors and individuals with physical limi tations," said Anne King, manager, VON Halton Volunteer Services. "It will allow us to expand our reach and respond more effectively to the increas ing need for these services..."
