For over 20 years, Bigs, Littles, donors, corporations, and other community members have been raising money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters at the annual Bowl for Kids' Sake events across the country. It's not about bowling. It's about kids. Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun way to make a differ ence, and everyone can get involved as bowlers, team cap tains, or sponsors. It's a party with a team of friends, family, neighbors or colleagues. It's not skill or scores that count -- it's the effort. If you care about kids and can spare a little time for fun, then Bowl for Kids' Sake is right up your alley. The Bowl for Kids' Sake Campaign supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters' goal to m atch 100 new children by the end of 2006. To reach that goal, it needs funding to dramatically increase volunteer recruitm ent, marketing, and service delivery. Three Bowl for Kids' Sake events are planned in Halton. The first Hopedale Bowl date is sold out, so a second date has been added. The three dates are Friday, Feb. 17 from 7-9 p.m. at Hopedale Bowl for five-pin bowling or Friday, Feb. 24 from 7-9 p.m. at Classic Bowl in Mississauga for 10-pin bowling and the newest date of March 24 at Hopedale Bowl for five-pin bowling.
