The victory squared the Bruins' Ontario Colleg es Athletic Association men's volleyball record at 4 -4 and halted a twomatch losing streak. "The guys in the sec ond set really started to believe that we can win once we started to play our style of vol leyball," Bruins' head coach Frank Pento said. "Our ability to stay engaged in this game was higher than most other games that we've played re cently and when it came down to it after 20, we were able execute. We made some really big digs and we made some really big kills and when two good teams are playing, the team who' s better after 2 0 is go ing to win and tonight it happened to be us." Sheridan had a .328 kill percent age compared to St. Clair' s .127. Christian Dela Cruz, who had a match-high 16 kills, and Shaun Lasala each had 18 points for Sher idan while Chris Adams had 14. Liam Butchereit (1 3 ), Lasala (1 2 ) and Ricky Davids (1 1 ) each hit double figures in digs. Adams led the Bru ins with four blocks and Justin Kong had 3 7 assists. Sheridan was sched uled to play Mo hawk (7-1) yesterday (Wednesday) in Hamil ton. Sheridan took the Mountaineers to five sets in a tournament earlier this season. The Sheridan women' s team dropped its third straight match to fall to 4 -4 in OCAA play. Rachel Abrahams led the team in kills (six), digs (six) and service aces (two). Mason capped his week with 26 saves in a 3-1 win over Chicago and then turned aside 30 shots in a 4-2 win over Nashville. The 28-year-old lowered his goals-against average to 2 .7 6 and raised his save percentage to .904 while improving his record to 9 -8 3. Mason, who has started 10 of the Flyers' past 11 games, had a chance to match a career-high win streak when Philadelphia played Florida Tuesday night.
