This property was Concession 1, Pt. Lot 23, SDS, on the southwest corner of the Sixteen Mile Creek and Dundas Street West, Oakville, at Fourth Line. It is associated with the St. Volodmyr Ukrainian Church property.

The 1816 Trafalgar Township Assessment by Fred Blair and the Trafalgar Township Historical Society shows that Sampson Howel was owner of Lots 23 & 24 Con. 1, SDS where he had 246 acres cultivated with a further 50 uncultivated, and that Epraim Hopkins owned Lot 23, Con 1 SDS with 70 acres cultivated and 30 uncultivated. Both men served in the 2nd Regiment of York Militia during the War of 1812.
