Martin is tied for the AHL lead in w in s, posting a record of 14-8-0 for the San A ntonio Rampage. N o w in his second pro season after four years with M ississauga of the Ontario H ockey League, he has a 2.43 goals-against average and a .920 save per centage. The 21-year-old has been recalled three times this season by the Colorado Avalanche, but has yet to see any game action. Colorado drafted Martin in the third round of the 2013 NHL draft. Lorito is fourth in league scoring, leading the Grand Rapids Griffins with 10 goals and 32 points in 32 games. His 22 assists ranks third in the league. Lorito was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Red W ings in July after leading the Albany Devils in scoring the previous season, tallying 18 goals and 54 points in 71 games. The 26-year-old played four seasons at Brown U ni versity where he was twice named a conference all star. Lorito was named the AHL player of the w eek in November after racking up six points in two games. The all-star game will be held Jan. 29-30 in Allen town, Pa. It will feature a three-on-three tournament among four 12-player teams representing each of the league' s divisions. Martin will represent the Pacific Division w hile Lorito will play for the Central Division. Kathryn Doran (Level 10) and Charlie Lister (Level 9 ) earned a spot on Team Ontario, which is com peting in Las Ve gas this w eek, after their performance at a tour selection m eet in Belleville in N o vember. The two gymnasts are competing against som e of the best athletes in the United States at the w eek-long Lady Luck com petition, w hich started yester day (Wednesday). At the OGCs first provincial quali fying com petition in Burlington last m onth Doran and Lister led the team to a 21-medal haul, which included eight golds, six silvers and seven bronzes. Both were all-around winners as w ell as gold medalists on vault, bars and beam. The Rangers scored four first-period goals to erase a 1-0 Oakville lead and w ent on to w in 7-4 last Sunday. Jack Jeffers scored the Blades' first two goals and Matt Hayami and Ryan Foss connected in the third, Foss' s with Oakville goalie Chris Elliot on the bench for an extra attacker. Last Friday at Sixteen Mile Sports Com plex, the Blades scored three straight third-period goals to erase a 3-1 Burling ton lead, but the Cougars tied the score less than a m inute later to force overtime. Philip Lagunov scored 3:04 into the extra frame to give Burlington the win. Oakville scorers included Bryce Wisley, Drew Worrad, Nicholas Turenko and Foss.
