Survived by his wife, Winnie (Wijtske) of 66 years. George was born in Kollumerzwaag, Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Winnie also immigrated in 1950 from the Netherlands and in the same year they wed. George was with the Ford Motor Company in Oakville for 28 years. He was predeceased by his daughter Sonja Clarke(1982). George is survived by his wife Winnie, and their children George, Jack, Tilly (Ted), Guy (Sue), Frank, Anna Lisa (Simon) and Sheryl. George (aka Pake) has 18 grand children and 16 great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service held at Walton Memorial United Church, 2489 Lakeshore Rd.
