On Wednesday, Jan. 11, shortly after 1 p.m., Halton Regional Police were called to the Royal Bank on Pearl Street in the down town Burlington area. It was reported a man was attempting to open personal and business bank accounts using allegedly fraudulent identification. Police arrived and arrested the man. Investigators allege the man provided a name and date of birth that was later deter m ined to be false. Police say the suspect was in possession of fraudulent identification and various debit/credit cards in various names. Jonathon W illiam Kell, 28, of no fixed ad dress, formerly of Oakville, is charged with personation w ith intent, identity fraud, pos session o f a counterfeit mark, unauthorized possession of credit card data, obstructing a peace officer and failing to com ply w ith a re cognizance.
