The picture of the door you want to open or close thus is instantly recognizable. In stress sit uations, you don't want to fumble with the buttons. This simple idea is a standout feature that other makers will soon copy. The one-knob control with adja cent readout screen for the HVAC system was also simplicity itself. You can buy a minivan for more than $50,000. But the bottom line is whether you can live with a vehi cle like that that has to perform without fault day-in and day-out and not kill you with repair or fuel costs. This area, of course, is what made the Honda name what it is in North America. It's also a reason why people who grew up with their Honda's are now gliding through life with their kids growing up in a Honda.
