Halton police, along with the Oakville Fire department and Halton Region Paramedic Services, responded to the intersection of Royal Windsor Drive and Ford Drive in southeast Oakville for a report of a pedestrian struck at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 6. According to Halton police S/Sgt Jeff Dunham, the girl received serious, but non-life threatening, injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the transport remained on scene and was being interviewed by investigating officers. The westbound lanes of Royal Windsor Drive at Ford Drive were closed for approximately two hours as police investigated and photographed the scene.
